Through our partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM) Luke.14, Embracing Ministries hosts a variety of workshops during the year catered toward parents of children with a disability, parishes interested in caring for families with a disability, as well as new team members at Embracing Ministries.

Some of the workshops help parents build skills necessary for on-going conversions with their children about sexuality and social safety. Other workshops focus on mental health and spirituality, namely how churches can become places where we all can truly be our whole selves and find a healing community. Exploring Mentoring is a workshop open to all year 10-12 students who would like to explore the possibility of becoming a Mentor. Finally, we offer Creating Safe Ministries workshops which focus on training youth and young adults in the inclusion of children with special needs. All leaders attending Embracing Ministries programs need to complete this workshop.

In 2017, we provided workshops at Share Synergy training, SU Lead and ACT network conference. If you know a church that would like a Luke 14 workshop in Canberra, please contact us.
