As a father with two children with special needs, I appreciate that something like Checkpoint exists. It's easy to become isolated and to feel your world gets so small when you're raising special needs kids, but Checkpoint gets me out of the house with other men going through similar things. Just being together helps. Feeling as though others can relate to your struggles helps. Talking helps. Movies and cross training also help! If your'e reading this and not sure about coming, I'd say you ae better off to at least try coming along when you can.

A fun and rewarding experience. I will definitely come again.

Being a mentor is great. It’s such a good experience to learn and grow from. I feel I’ve gained so much, patience, conversation skills and the ability to listen.
